| Challenge: The placement of a series of habitat ponds in an existing wet meadow required a NW27 permit from the Army Corps of Engineers. Permit conditions required 1:1 mitigation of those wetland areas that were “filled” including lined, open water habitat. |

| Solution: Wetland Sod was used around the pond shorelines and in connecting channels to immediately replace the disturbed wet meadow plant community. The Wetland Sod immediately achieved a portion of the mitigation requirement as well as desired aesthetics. |
